Got Crafts welcomes our first guest instructor, the fabulously talented, Christy Tomlinson. For the last 10+ years, Christy has worn many hats in the paper craft industry: from talented designer to marketing guru to contributing editor for Scrapbooks Etc. magazine...in 2008 she took her years of experience and focused them to launch her own successful monthly scrapbook kit club, Scarlet Lime. Having taught for years in private classes and retail settings all over the globe, Christy has designed a brand new class exclusively for YOU through Got Crafts! It's a glimpse into Christy's own creative genius! We present to you Eye for Design | Color creative, the first part of an inspiring series on design. Here's what Christy has to say about her class:
Color is all around us and I am
constantly inspired by it when creating my own layouts. In this first series of
Eye for Design, I will teach you how to find color and texture inspiration from
magazines, home décor, fashion and more, when creating your own unique layouts!
I will also help you organize your color inspirations with charts and templates
that you can print out and have handy to take anywhere! I will teach you how to
have an eye for design when it comes to picking colors and patterns that are out
of your comfort zone as well as using up papers from your stash to create fresh
fabulous layouts you will be proud of! We will also talk about incorporating
textures and layering techniques that will help give more dimension to your
layouts as well! In this 3 week class, we will create a total of 13 layouts,
plus provide you with templates, tips and even videos on how to become your own
color expert! Come join us and let me help you become more inspired with color
and find the inner artist in you!

This is a "Use your Stash" class. There will be no kits provided with your registration fee. We encourange everyone to use their existing supplies (because we know we all have a ton of those!).
This class works around your schedule! You are not required to visit the online site at any specific time or day. Because it is a self-paced class, you can view all class content, inspiration and complete your layouts at YOUR convenience. Member participation & project sharing are not requirements.
Online classroom site opens May 1st for students to familiarize themself with the class website.

How will you know if you are all set for class entry?
Open the downloaded file immediately after the checkout process. It leads you to another website where you will start a membership by creating an account & login, then answer several profile questions. Once you have done this, you will see a message that you are "pending approval."
That's it! You will be notified by email once you are approved.
This step is mandatory to get access to the class. Otherwise, you will not be able to view any class content.
Pre-registrants: Expect an email on May 1 notifying you that your membership is approved. Until then, you will not be able to sign into the private classroom. May 1 is the earliest entry date into the site.
Registrants past May 4: Please allow up to 24 hours for approval into the classroom.
